Well as you have probably guessed, I come from a very musical family. We all try and participate as much as possible but yet we end up in trouble so often. I just can't figure out what we are doing wrong. As you saw from the photo, my favorite place is on the grand piano or perhaps inside the grand piano. Now if I am there and someone is playing Beethoven's Pathetique Piano Sonata, it just seems logical that I should see who is playing. Doesn't that make sense to you? So that is all I was doing..I slipped out of the piano and carefully peeked around where the music was. Then I hear a shriek!! The adult student was very very startled. And of course, I get yelled at, like it was my fault. I didn't mean to scare her, but I was just showing an appreciation of Beethoven. Honest!
But that brings back memories of when my sister Royale and her nemesis, Scooter would race around the studio. Royale would seek shelter in the piano. When she thought everything was quiet, she would timidly glance out. Unfortunately, Scooter was on top of the lid and would take a big swipe at her with his paw. That usually left the student laughing but our Mom, who was doing the teaching, seemed to be angry for some reason or other.
Still the worst right now are the violin lessons. Our Mom(DrMOM to you) has started teaching violin lessons as well as piano. Now Mom plays the violin very nicely and makes the strings sing a lovely melody. But her students, who are all beginners are a different story. My sister Royale however has found the perfect solution. As each student plays, Royale climbs up their pant legs with her sharp claws. Sometimes she bites at their feet, but overall, she is getting the message out to the group, that their musical attempts bother our ears. We thought this was working very well until we all got put in the other room the other day. Like what did we do wrong? Besides Peter and I didn't do anything but cheer Royale on. So why did we get banished?
Well that is my story for today. Just a note to say welcome back to my cousin Maggie who got herself lost and ended up in the pound. Are you crazy Maggie? Don't you know how good you have it where you live? Think next time
Lots of Love
